Where we actually place the camera makes a world of difference too. A few key pointers here:
➡️ Height – Position at eye level for the most flattering angle. Can tilt down slightly but shouldn‘t point too far up our noses!
➡️ Distance – Frame from mid torso up for relaxed headshots. Gives a personal feel.
➡️ Alignment – The rule of thirds splits frames into vertical/horizontal thirds. Place important elements near intersection points but not directly on them. Provides pleasing balance!
➡️ Focus – For single person streams, keep eyes crisp and sharp. Dial back depth of field for artfully blurred backgrounds.

Microphones 🎤 – Let Audiences Hear Your Authentic Reactions
Sure we LOVE epic game audio. But hearing streamers loud and clear matters so much more for engagement.
External mics sound infinitely better than on-camera mics. They broadcast our voice cleanly without distorting or picking up distracting ambient noises.

USB: Plug n play simplicity. Don‘t require extras like audio interfaces. Election for starter streaming mics.
XLR: Pro-grade sound quality for serious broadcasting. Need an external preamp/mixer to connect and tune though.
Lavalier: Clip on wireless lav mics enable great voice pickup while staying invisible on camera. Fantastic for IRL streams.
And just like cameras, we need to watch specifications:
➡️ Frequency Response: Wider is better. 20 – 20kHz mics capture all vocal nuance.
