No Time To Waste?

A highly Innovative, fully integrated marketing program driven by consumer insights in the Canadian Hospitality Industry.

No time to waste? Go for great taste! That's the message that Swiss Chalet restaurants want consumers to remember as they launch their new Dine-in 15 Minute Lunch Guarantee.

"We really needed a fully integrated marketing plan to generate awareness", said Josh Homewood, Regional Marketing Manager for Swiss Chalet. "We know consumers love the great taste of Swiss Chalet, and that they are also really pressed for time during their work day."

So the Swiss Chalet launched a new DINE-IN 15 MINUTE LUNCH GUARANTEE menu, featuring 5 great tasting lunch items that are guaranteed to be at your table 15 minutes after you order them.

Marketing support for the program included radio, internet ads, in-restaurant POP, street teams and a highly innovative viral e-mail/internet campaign. The NO TIME TO WASTE street teams, decked out in uniforms highlighting the new Dine-in 15 Minute Lunch Guarantee, will be on the move near Swiss Chalet dining rooms, rewarding pedestrians with free lunch at Swiss Chalet when they demonstrate that they are the fastest at a wide array of everyday activities.

"We really wanted breakthrough communications that were strategically sound and fully integrated" said Tracy Eckebrecht, VP Marketing for Swiss Chalet, "and this program definitely delivers that for us. Our guests are entertained while they are connecting with the brand and learning about the 15 minute lunch program" she said. "That's superior brand activation." Millenium Inc., a full service brand activation agency in Vaughan, Ontario, developed the campaign and all of its support elements, including the website. ACLC was responsible for the radio advertising, and Inventa executed the "No Time To Waste" street teams. So, "No time to waste?"
